January 8 & 9, 2009
Internets - it is only the first part of January, and already I broke my ‘post the food everyday’ pledge. BUT! I have excuses!
This week has sucked. I have felt crappy. I have eaten poorly. I have exercised little. I have not had enough water. I have worked a lot. Those things combined to make this week suck!
So - I did write down what I ate on Thursday & Friday - just not HERE.
January 8
Breakfast: Vanilla yogurt, Special K vanilla & almond cereal, Coke Zero
Lunch: Squash Koftas with basmati, wilted beet greens & onions, and some kind of tomato sauce; Diet Dr. Pepper
Dinner: Toasted cheese & tomato sandwich, chili, saltines, 1 glass of wine
Snack: Banana
Water: 32 oz
Exercise: 30 minutes on the stationary bike; 30 minutes of lower body weights
January 9, 2009
Breakfast: vanilla yogurt, Special K vanilla & almond cereal, coffee with soy creamer
Lunch: White bean & turkey soup, saltines
Snack: Banana
Dinner: 1 slice of Italian bread, manicotti (the whole serving), 1/2 of an antipasto plate, 2/3 of a bowl of Italian wedding soup, 2 glasses of chianti, 3 bites of the tiramisu cheesecake.
Water: 64 oz (I did better with that yesterday)
Exercise: nothing.
I feel a little guilty about skipping exercise THREE TIMES IN ONE WEEK! That is something I haven’t done since being fully back into the routine post knee-hab. I have a lot of excuses - but by yesterday evening, I was so exhausted that I almost fell asleep at dinner. At 6 PM. I have not been this tired in a long time, internets! I slept 11 hours last night! And honestly, I’m feeling that I could possibly take a nap RIGHT NOW!
I have had a headache for almost 24 hours now, and although I am planning on some Vinyasa yoga in about 2 hours, and an 8-mile run tomorrow, I am still feeling a little guilty for yesterday. And Monday last. And Wednesday.
This means that in order to get to my 27 workouts in January, I can only skip one more day of exercise in the remaining 21 days! Can I do it? Probably
So - I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I also hope this headache goes away soon.
