Today was a pretty awesome day - almost the epitome of intuitive eating - with one small exception (i.e. lesson learned).
Breakfast: cinnamon & raisin bagel with cream cheese, medium coffee w/ half & half
I usually get a latte everytime I stop at the coffee shop, and people, this was the first time I’ve ever ordered a plain coffee - but since I was getting the bagel & cream cheese, a latte seemed excessive. And it was good! And satisfying!
Lunch: from the cafeteria - penne pasta cooked in garlic & olive oil with chicken & marinara; water (no diet soda! gasp!); peanut butter chocolate chip cookie.
The pasta wasn’t very good (too oily), so I just ate the chicken & sauce. I was pretty full by the end, so I didn’t finish (score), but I still had that cookie. And I ate it. And I felt terrible afterwards! All bloated & gross & sleepy! This has been such an educational week.
Dinner: 1/2 of a hummus appetizer plate, a cup of clam chowder w/ 2 saltines, 1/2 of a half of a pear/gorgonzola salad (the rest will be lunch today). The architect & I split a 10-sampler beer tasting, and I probably had about 4 little sampler sized glasses, total. Then I drank most of a pint of their seasonal beer.
I didn’t have an afternoon snack - cookie hangover - but was pleased with my dinner choice (I love soup & salad!) and my NOT FINISHING my salad when I was full.
Late night snack (I don’t usually do this): A small corner of the bread the architect had made - delicious!
Water: 70 oz (yay!)
Exercise: none - which was my 4th day of no exercise in one month! Which is the limit I usually allow myself. I haven’t decided if I’m going to push through & try to excercise every day for the rest of the month, or give myself a break & allow 5 days off this month. The week I took 3 days off was an anomoly (called PMS) and that only happens quarterly. I might just give myself a break.
Thoughts?
